Danos ROOTS Family Volunteer Night-Packing Hope for Our Community

Updated: Dec 23

On December 16, Danos Group employees and their families came together for an evening of service that truly made a difference. During our ROOTS Family Volunteer Night, we partnered with Bags of Hope to pack more than 1,600 bags of weekend meals—enough to feed hundreds of children for over a month. This effort built on our July initiative, when our team prepared 1,000 bags, showing just how much impact we can have when we come together.

Bags of Hope works tirelessly to combat childhood hunger in Terrebonne Parish, providing weekend food bags for students facing food insecurity. Each week, the organization supports more than 400 children across nine local schools, helping them focus, learn and succeed in the classroom.

The energy and generosity of our volunteers was truly inspiring. In just one hour, parents, children and team members packed bags with care, turning a simple task into an act of compassion and hope. The evening wasn’t just about filling bags—it was about instilling values of service, empathy and community in the next generation.

We are deeply grateful to Bags of Hope for their vital work and for welcoming us to support their mission. Thank you to every volunteer who lent a hand, making a lasting impact on the lives of local children and families. Together, we are proving that real change happens one bag, one child and one act of service at a time.
