This time of year is all about FUNdraising for the Danos Foundation! First, our 2025 Cast Iron Cook-Off was on October 15 at Danos HQ and consisted of lots of food, a dunk tank, flying rubber ducks and a Danos duck-call competition.
This year, seven teams cooked a wide variety of cast iron dishes ranging from rabbit marsala and gumbo, to chicken fricasse and fan favorite, grits and grillades! A huge THANK YOU goes to our chefs and teams for their time, talent and support:
Do it Lady
Boo-tiful Nightmares
Jambalaya Jammerz
I & Easy
Coastal Restoration
PIVOT
It’s Almost Done!
Amazing job by all. The compliments were endless about EVERY dish.
Our winners for this year’s event were:
Spirit Award – The Boo-tiful Nightmares (GOA Production)
Judge’s Choice – I & Easy’s Grits & Grillades
People’s Choice Runner Ups – Do it Lady’s Chicken Fricasse & Coastal Restoration’s Pastalaya (Tie)
People’s Choice Grand Champion – I & Easy’s Grits & Grillades
Honorable Mentions of the Day go out to PES Offshore Coordinator Louise Stevens and PES Training Coordinator Wanda St. Pierre for rallying the troops and funds at the PES Houma Office that sent VP of Operations Dirk Dempster plunging into an ice cold dunk tank! Louise and Wanda, along with their partners in crime, collected a total of $480 to show Dirk love and benefit the Danos Foundation. Great work!
Donations from all PES and Danos staff in attendance for food and activities helped to raise $4,500 for the Danos Foundation which directly benefit nonprofit organizations in the areas our employees live and work through the Danos GIVES and Danos WORKS programs.
