Every Application Tells a Story

The 2026 Danos GIVES grant cycle reached an exciting milestone on August 31 when applications officially closed. This year, 231 nonprofit organizations from communities across the country where Danos employees live and work submitted requests for funding to create positive change in the lives of others, a 42% increase from last year's 163 applications.
Throughout September, 25 Danos employees have served as trusted stewards on the Grant Scoring Committee, carefully reviewing applications and the stories behind them. Using a standardized scoring rubric, each application is evaluated independently to ensure a fair, transparent and consistent review process.
"I want to sincerely thank our evaluators for the time, care and stewardship they have invested in this process," said Mike Guidry, Seeds of Giving Chair. "Their commitment helps ensure we honor both the generosity of our company and the incredible work being done by nonprofits serving communities across our footprint."
The applications reflect a wide range of community needs and opportunities, including youth development, workforce readiness, food security, family support services, health and wellness programs, disaster recovery efforts and other initiatives focused on helping people thrive.
Beginning October 1, qualified applications will advance to the next round of evaluation and funding review. Funding recommendations will be finalized in November, applicants will be notified in December, and grants will be awarded in January 2027.
Every application represents people, families and communities working toward a better future. Thank you to our applicants and evaluators for playing an important role in this year's Danos GIVES journey.
