Introducing Our New Committee Members and Their Vision for Community Growth

The Seeds of Giving community is growing stronger with fresh energy and renewed commitment. Welcoming new committee members is always an exciting moment, as it brings new ideas and enthusiasm to our shared mission of giving back and creating lasting impact. This post introduces the newest faces on the committee and highlights their roles. It also celebrates the expanded outreach team that will help spread the goodness of our work to employees across the Danos family of companies.


New Leadership Roles and Their Focus


Michael Guidry – Chair

Michael takes the helm as Chair, guiding the committee with a clear focus on strengthening community ties and deepening the impact of every initiative. His role involves coordinating efforts across all programs to ensure they align with the core values of giving back and fostering goodness. Michael is particularly excited about upcoming projects that will expand community engagement and create more opportunities for meaningful involvement.


Melanie Toups - Co-chair

After serving on many SEEDS committees, Melanie has transitioned into the role of Co-chair. In this position, she supports Mike and plays a key role in advancing various programs and partnering on special projects.



Amy Bolt – Secretary

Amy supports the committee by managing communications and keeping detailed records of meetings. Her role ensures transparency and smooth coordination among members. Amy’s vision centers on improving how the committee shares its progress and stories making it easier for everyone to stay connected and informed.


Kaitlyn Blanchard – Stewardship Chair

Kaitlyn leads the Stewardship program, focusing on nurturing relationships with donors and volunteers. She aims to build a culture of gratitude and recognition that encourages ongoing generosity. Kaitlyn is passionate about creating new ways to celebrate the goodness that donors bring to the community.


Tish Hebert – ROOTS Chair

Tish has transitioned to lead the ROOTS program, which focuses on building strong families. She envisions expanding ROOTS to reach more families providing resources that empower them to thrive. Tish is eager to launch initiatives that connect employees with practical resources and events for family growth and stability.


Kathryne Smith – WORKS Chair

Returning to the committee, Kathryne resumes her role as WORKS Chair. This program emphasizes hands-on projects and volunteer opportunities that directly impact local communities. Kathryne’s vision includes increasing volunteer participation and developing partnerships that multiply the committee’s giving back efforts.


Avie Fontenot – GIVES Co-Chair

Avie joins as Co-Chair of the GIVES program, which coordinates our grant applications and nurtures relationships with our grant recipients. She is enthusiastic about creating innovative campaigns that inspire generosity and highlight the tangible impact of every donation.


Expanding Outreach with New Ambassadors

The committee has also welcomed five new ambassadors to increase community outreach and engagement.


These ambassadors will serve as vital links sharing stories of the programs, their impact and encouraging more people to get involved in making an impact in their local communities. Their diverse backgrounds and connections promise to bring fresh perspectives and energy to the committee’s efforts.
