Cajun Crew for St. Jude

Thanks to the generosity of Danos WORKS, a donation was proudly presented to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The check was delivered by Avie Fontenot to a local fundraising team, where she serves as both a Board Member and active volunteer.

Throughout the past decade, The Cajun Crew for St. Jude has raised more than $625,000 directly for the hospital in honor of Danny Thomas’ belief that “No child should die in the dawn of life.”

Their fundraising efforts span an extensive variety of events each year, including golf tournaments, can shakes, online garage sales, cake bingos, fashion shows, shoe drives, raffles, give‑back nights, and more. Through countless volunteer hours, the team achieved its largest annual contribution in 2025, surpassing $186,000 for the year.  Many Cajun Crew team members also travel to Memphis annually to participate in the St. Jude Marathon Weekend, with 2026 marking the event’s 25th anniversary.

The Cajun Crew for St. Jude extends heartfelt appreciation to the Danos Foundation for recognizing their mission and generously supporting their continued efforts to make a difference in the lives of others.
