Introducing The Seeds of Giving: Growing a Culture of Care

At Danos, generosity has always been part of who we are. Whether it’s supporting a teammate through a tough time or a nonprofit that’s making a difference, our colleagues have always shown up with open hands and full hearts.

Over time, that spirit has taken shape in different ways—through The Foundation, which includes GIVES (our grant program) and WORKS (our volunteer initiatives), and through CARES, our employee support program. Now, we’re excited to bring it all together under a new name: The Seeds of Giving.

This new name reflects more than just an updated label—it captures the heart of what we’re building. Today, we’re not only planting seeds—we’re planting a vision. The Seeds of Giving is our promise to cultivate a legacy of generosity that creates lasting impact—for our communities, our families, and future generations.

What’s new? ROOTS.

ROOTS is our newest program, created with our employees and their families in mind. It offers scholarships for faith-based camps, conferences, and retreats—experiences that help build strong families, strong teams, and meaningful connections. Whether it's sending a child to summer camp, attending a couples retreat, or joining a faith-based conference, ROOTS is here to support growth—personally, spiritually, and relationally.

Together, CARES and ROOTS form the internal branch of The Seeds of Giving, focused entirely on supporting our team. CARES is there in moments of hardship—when a helping hand, a meal, or a word of encouragement is most needed. ROOTS is there to nurture growth—helping our teammates and their families thrive.

GIVES and WORKS remain the outward-facing programs that many of you are already familiar with. GIVES provides grants to nonprofits making a positive impact in our communities, and WORKS supports employees who volunteer and serve causes they care about.

At the core of The Seeds of Giving is our purpose: Honor God. Solve big challenges for our communities. We see that purpose in action—not only through the way we serve our communities, but also in the way we support one another every day.

It’s important to note that funding for ROOTS comes solely from Danos. No employee donations are used to fund ROOTS programming. Employee contributions are completely voluntary, and as always, each person chooses where their donation goes—either to GIVES and WORKS, or to CARES. Your generosity makes a real difference every day.

So, whether you’ve been with Danos for years or are just getting started, know this: you're part of something bigger. We’re not just giving—we’re growing a culture of generosity, one seed at a time.

Let’s keep planting.
